L’Inter prevale (non solo per il gol) la Juventus è sconfitta, e nelle dichiarazioni rilasciate alla stampa Max Allegri non può che prendere atto della situazione. Questo indipendentemente dalle “mani avanti” più volte messe dal tecnico livornese durante questo campionato, ribadendo in più di un’occasione quanto l’obiettivo primario della Signora sia la qualificazione in Champions League e non lo scudetto. “Nessuno s’aspettava
che la Juve avesse 53 punti. Chi dice che la Juventus doveva vincere il campionato evidentemente

In un’altra dichiarazione evidenziata dal Corriere della Sera, tuttavia, il tecnico dimostra di non aver chiuso completamente all’idea di scudetto. Parlando dell’Inter vincitrice, a cui fa i complimenti riconoscendo il merito del primo posto in classifica, dice: “Non so se si è aggiudicata un match point scudetto, del resto sapevamo che era una partita difficile”. E sulla partita: “Il primo tempo è stato bloccato, loro hanno fatto questo gol, noi abbiamo sbagliato con Vlahovic. Nel secondo tempo la partita si è sbloccata, è stata anche più divertente da vedere e loro quando ripartono sono pericolosi. Noi dobbiamo migliorare ma posso solo fare i complimenti ai ragazzi per quanto hanno fatto”.
