Su Timothy Weah ormai la delusione è generalizzata. Per i figli di campioni illustri del passato, sicuramente è andata meglio all’Inter con il suo Marcus Thuram, figlio di Lilian. Perché il figlio di George (Weah) è andato in direzione totalmente opposta. Deludendo sempre le aspettative e mettendo l’allenatore Massimiliano Allegri nella difficile posizione di gestirlo, come riporta anche l’edizione odierna del Corriere dello Sport.

Non è più titolare da un mese e l’unica nota positiva della sua stagione sono gli ingressi positivi dalla panchina. La gara con l’Udinese era un’occasione di rilancio evidentemente non sfruttata, visto il disastro generalizzato ma che non ha certamente risparmiato il centrocampista statunitense. Qualche bagliore in questa stagione c’è stato (come il bellissimo gol alla Salernitana), ma ci fermiamo lì. Il bilancio è di 21 presenze di cui solo 9 da titolare, per un calciatore su cui la società e l’allenatore puntavano molto all’inizio di quest’anno calcistico.
